Members otis_rush_fan
The middle pickup on my Xaviere XV-850 (Strat-like object) went out and I don't have time to get it fixed beofre my next gig, so I took the neck off the XV last night and put it on an old MIM Strat body I had laying around. I also went ahead and put the Wilkinson string saddles on the MIM's bridge. However, in order to get the guitar to intonate correctly and get the strings clear enough of the fretboard, I had to set the saddles pretty high. Question: Are my strings more likely to break if the saddles are high? Cuase if so, I'm just going to have to gig with some other guitar. I really like the XV's neck, though. Any insight would be appreciated.
