Members Dash4814
This forum may be a better venue for this this OJ. My wife's sister's fiance sold me his Bullet for $40. Rosewood fretboard, white pickguard and electronics, etc. The usual appointments. It's in great condition. I want to modify it a bit, without spending much. At all. I've been looking at this: http://store.guitarfetish.com/sihuevhriblo.html ...but I'm not sure about the black/black look. What should I do with this thing? Members Dash4814
new neck, something with a maple board. My sunburst Fender strat and my tele have maple necks, so I'd rather not. Plus, that's too much for a $40 guitar.
Members iansmitchell
The prewired strat sets are NOT GFS pickups.Jay will tell you, they're seperate. The pickups in them are on par with MIM stock pups. It's well worth your cash to spring for a GFS fat pat or vintage 59.Also, mean 90s are NEVER a bad idea. But it's a strat, why not go for the 70's gray bottom strat set and a superstrat wiring kit? yeah it's a hundred dollar upgrade but you'll really be suprised at the improvement. Members Cletus Spuckle
As is white with tortise, or even better, white with red pearloid. Quoted for supreme truth. I'm halfway thinking of painting my black strat body vintage white just so I could enjoy my tort pickguard better. Priorities, you know.
Members Dash4814
Tortoise with black is a killer look. Thinking I may go with this look, with some Mean 90s, especially if this: The prewired strat sets are NOT GFS pickups. ...is true. I don't have a P-90 guitar, this may do the trick.
