Members Schappy
I am in the market for a guitar at or around $600. These are the two best Ive found so far. Any opinions on which guitar gives you more bang for your buck quality wise. It seems to me that maybe the Schecters give you more for your money. Any suggestions for other guitars in this price range?

Members InnerVision
I'd say they are both about equal as far as "bang for buck"..However, they are quite different in every other aspect. Schecter = Carved top all mahogany/set neck. Fender = non carved alder body/ with bolt-on maple neck. I'm no scientist, but I can assume that these two guitars will feel and sound very different from each other. It really depends what you are wanting out of the guitar. What kind of music are you into? * Oh I'll say it before someone else does: Save up just a little more and buy a LP ...or ...Neither, get a telecaster
Members Finch88
Well, I just posted in your C-1 thread, and I guess I will throw in some opinions here too. I love any Fender, so my natural response is to say get the Strat. However, it really comes down to your style of music. In most cases, I think Schecter will be the better choice because it can do just about anything.
