Members kwoods
RIP Billy Powell. I'm dating myself, but I saw the original band at an outdoor concert at the Nashville Tn State Fairgrounds in....oh....I think it was 1976. They were the headliner, and Ted Nugent was there also. This was before Ted parted with Derek St Holmes and lost his mojo (in my opinion.). I think Ronnie Montross was there as well but I can't remember. Anyhow, it's sad to see all of these great and original musicians getting older, and these losses are really historic to the culture. And, I don't think it's getting near the attention from the press that it deserves. Whenever one of these rappers shoots each other, or some current flavor of the day pop culture icon has a tit job or something, it's broadcast to every corner of the world. Meanwhile, these legends are just quietly going away practically unnoticed. Please excuse the rant. It's a sad day....
Members voxmojo
My favorite member of the band. I was really bummed last night to read that he died. I love his solo in Call Me the Breeze. He will be missed. RIP Billy.
