Members bucket_brigadier
never heard the digitech, but I prefer the small stone just a little over the p90 myself.

Members VicShat
the main difference between the small stone and the phase 90 is the small stone sounds more like an overdrive than a phaser.*runs and hides from incoming flames from phase 90 users*

Small Stone is thicker and more gloopy sounding, especially with the color switch on, and gets a bit faster than the Phase 90. The MXR is the classic swishy phase sound, with a little bit of a treble edge, which helps it mate well with distortion. Someone should really knuckle down and build the two circuits into one box with an outlet for expression controlled phase speed. DJ

You still haven't found a phaser ... even with all of the pretty pictures in your "best phaser" thread.

Members orbital_element
Dude when searching for the perfect phaser, always look for pedals you can tweak, pedals that have a WIDE range of options.for example the BOSS PH-3 Phase Shifter I own a digitech Hyper Phaze but don't like it that much, it holds back much of the clarity ( clean ) i want it to produce.I'm also on a hunt for the perfect phaze pedal, sofar this is the only on on my wanted list.Boss PH-

Members Tone Doctor
You should consider the Pigtronix EP-1 phaser. It has more depth and clarity as well as way more features than the Small Stone or Phase 90. It is also mroe expensive, but well worth the $. Any way you go, I definitly recommend an analog phaser over the digitech or boss pedals.
Members Kriegsemann
teh PH-3 does do alot of things, and rather well, but there is a noticable change in tone when you turn it one. Just a warning from a guy who owns one.
