Trying to create something like On The Run

Okay, so here's the deal - my Floyd Tribute act is doing well, we play DSOTM all the way through all the time... But we'd really like to make On The Run in real time.

 

We have these keyboards available: Yamaha S90xs, Nord Electro, Korg MS2000B and Korg N5. My question to you is... How can we do it? Can any of those keyboards record and then play back the main sequence of notes?

On The Run synth sequence:

BPM: 166

Half steps relative to middle C:

-8,-5,-3, -5, 2, 0, 2, 4

E, G, A, G, D, C, D, E

 

The rest is just turning Cut Off, Resonance, and ADSR controls. Works best on analog gear, but some VAs with analog type controls work too.

 

My Novation BassStation hits it spot on. I sequence it with Wizard Master Control Program, which you can download free.

 

I think your Korg MS-2000 should be able to do it.

It's a pre-made patch in this voice library for Motif XS and s90. (Play the sample "Classic keyboard hits" to check it out). If you have s90xs it may work.

There's a file out there for the Kurz K-2000 that pretty much nails it.....All vast too, no sampling involved.
