  • T-Rex Effects will introduce its new Nitros Hypergain Distortion pedal at the 2015 NAMM Show

    By HC News |

December 22, 2014 – T-Rex Effects will introduce its new Nitros Hypergain Distortion pedal at the 2015 NAMM Show.

Delivering everything from over-the-top scooped metal, rumbling classic rock, and even alternative styles, the Nitros is one of the most tweakable dirt pedals ever made by the Danish effects pedal manufacturer.

T-Rex has incorporated an active 3-band EQ with extremely broad frequency ranges to make the "color" of the distortion highly adjustable. With some moderate EQ cutting/boosting, the Nitros thrives in guitar hero land with plenty of timeless scorching dirt tones at your disposal. Turn the knobs a little further however, and you can push your tone to some EQ extremes - anything from "oops, I forgot to turn off my wah" to "dude, your amp is facing the wall." The voicing of the Nitros can be altered to taste - and even beyond - for some incredibly diverse distortion tones.

    Key features:

    ·     Mid to high gain with tightness and articulation

    ·     Bold and aggressive clipping circuitry

    ·     Active 3-band EQ for extreme shaping of the voicing

    ·     FET Bypass for low switching noise and buffering capabilities

    ·     USA Retail Price: $249.00
