  • Four New Things for V-Control

    By HC News |

V-Control is a powerful, portable control surface for the iPad. V-Control is used everywhere people work with sound: studios, concert venues, and mixing stages. We are pleased to announce V-Control has been updated to version 1.8 and want to tell you about this great update.

    1. Adobe Premier Pro Support
V-Control 1.8 adds support for Adobe Premiere Pro. Premiere Pro has a fantastic audio mixing system featuring clip-based gain, volume automation, plug-ins, bussing, and more. And now you get hands-on control of all that with V-Control Pro.

    2. Logic X Support
V-Control 1.8 supports Logic X with a couple limitations. To control Logic X, just select V-Control's Logic 9 mode for control. There are two limitations. First, the user interface looks like Logic 9. Second, the scrub/shuttle control is not working consistently. We have requested fixes from Apple but they have not committed. But all the other features, including V-Window, work great with Logic X.
    3. OS X Yosemite
Apple has just released OS 10.10 Yosemite. Our initial tests indicate that Ney-Fi and V-Control 1.8 are fully compatible. However, many applications such as Pro Tools are not qualified for Yosemite yet, so we recommend you do not upgrade to Yosemite until you are sure your DAW application is ready.
    4. iOS Compatibilty
V-Control Pro 1.8 is compatible with any iPad running iOS 7 or iOS 8. Apple's first-generation iPad is not compatible with iOS 7 or later. If you use a first-generation iPad you must use V-Control 1.7.

Thank you for using V-Control. If you have any support questions be sure to visit the Neyrinck Website for the V-Control Forum, FAQs, and Support.
