  • Five new NY state music orgs join coalition to pass NY state tax credit

    By HC News |

New York is Music (nyismusic.org) is a new music industry coalition that's pushing the State Legislature to pass a bill that could give $60 million in tax breaks each year to studios, record companies and others involved in the creation of music, in an effort to keep New York State as the epicenter of the global music business.

In the past two weeks, New York is Music has enlisted 5 new upstate New York organizations to join the 20 others that are already part off their growing list of 120+ statewide members, including The Capitol Theatre, Landmark Theatre and Songza from the Hudson Valley, central New York and Long Island regions.
