My recommendations are always the old blues masters - every one of us started with Libby Cotten's Freight Train. Stefan Grossman is a good source of vids and other learning materials at every level of play. http://guitarvideos.com/

 

So much of finger style is based on "Travis Picking" and one of the best teachers in that area is Mark Hanson http://www.accentonmusic.com/

 

And last, and far from least, when you are ready to move forward, Leo Kottke kind of defined modern fingerstyle play (nothing basic here). Hanson has some good instructional materials on Leo's music as well as Tabpigs in the previous post.
