Members C70man
I have been trying to find a site to help determine the age and model of this guitar....I'm selling it for a friend, but I don't know what it is for sure... Hopefully there will be some Yami fans here to guide me...
Members onelife
I believe it is a Yamaha SA30T from early to mid '70s with replacement pickups.
Members Jkater
Very nice! I like the open (waverly style) tuning machine. Looks like quality. I lost the link to a yamaha site that archives old models but onelife got it right, I think.
Members C70man
You are right about the pickups....they are guild pickups...the original humbuckers are in the case...just didn't know if it was in the 60's or not...there's a number embedded in the neck near the 22th fret....gives the number 4067...I thought maybe it meant 1967? Members Tom77
Hi,I have a guitar identical to this Yamaha but I bought it second hand in 1966 or 1967,the serial number on mine is 2381 so this proves that the last 2 numbers does not pertain to the year of manufacture of the guitar. I have been trying to get info on my guitar for a long time and this is the first time I have seen another the same. Regards,Tom
