Members WittyMonikerHere
I wanted a great gigging double cut guitar that was relatively light, sounded HUGE (like a Les Paul) and could withstand a beating (doesn't go out of tune, etc.). Has anyone ever tried the higher end 6-string Agile Septors? Or the Carvins? What are your thoughts?
Members WittyMonikerHere
Actually, to add to that, how do you think the Ibanez SZ Prestige would hold up in this mix?
Members The Rover
Ive never played either of those guitars but based on my experience with Carvin I would take a Carvin over an Agile any day of the week.
Members kayd_mon
Ibanez SZ Prestige for sure.

Members Flintc
These are all very good guitars. You can't go wrong. I can tell you my Carvin (different model) gets a lot more play than my Ibanez Prestige (different model). But that's probably not real helpful. Members Kevman
I dont know what the return policy is for the "custom shop" Agiles. The std Agile line may have what you are looking for though and those cary a 30 day return policy.
Members WittyMonikerHere
I was looking more closely into the Carvins. They seem like amazing guitars. A little more expensive than the Agiles, but probably worth it (I really don't like Jumbo or EXTRA jumbo frets, and those are non-negotiable on Agiles). What are your thoughts on the 10" vs. 12" radius? I imagine playing chords on a 10" must be great, but is it problematic soloing on them? Fret buzz? For reference, I find the necks on my Gibson LP Studio and Schecters pretty comfortable. I really hate the thin, wide Ibanez/Jackson necks. And I think Fenders are "meh".
