Members Slow_Life
Since it turns out my fuel tank can't handle two strymons at once (huge humming ensues), I was looking for alternatives. I know the one spot works, and I can get that locally no problem. Then it occurred to me I have a Harman Pro (PSS3-230-B) that I used to power my DL4. Given that it powered the DL4, it should be okay for e.g. the Blue Sky or El Cap....right? I just really need to check this before plugging it in
Members placebo62
you need to give us the specific current draws and voltage before we could advise
Members Bogg808
Strymons uses about 250mA each at 9VDC
Members Slow_Life
Edit: it's not clear from the supply itself, at least to me (when I picked up my second hand DL4, the guy chucked it in saying it would be fine) and I can't even find reference to the precise supply on the net. Hence using the DL4 as a benchmark. It says input 230 V - 50 hz, output 1: 9v -2.1a, output 2: 3v - 0.1a.
Members placebo62
I think the line 6 modellers are reverse polarity, arent they?
Members Mind_Riot89
Aren't the Harman Pro adapters AC?
Members andreas
The PSS3-230-B is 9 volts AC, and will kill the Strymon if you try to use it.... The DL4 is designed to handle both 9vAC and 9-12vDC, while the Strymon can only handle 9vDC.
