Members npfrs
Number'd! Moving on... would there be a huge difference between a single 4x10 and 2 2x10 cabs? I know there are many variables, such as open back/closed back/speakers/etc, but let's assume everything is the same EXCEPT the config.
Members Jisatsu
The correct question is 1 4x12 or 2 2x12's. I prefer 2 2x12's myself.

Members sparkfriction
you talk about two speakerkonfigs - one cab with 4x10 or TWO cabs with 2x10... right? dont know, but i guess a 4x10 has more "kick/base" i mean it has more "body" i would go with 2 cabs... Members lz4005
From my experience with bass cabinets, there is a big difference in sound between four tens arranged in a square and four tens stacked in a vertical column in terms of apparent low frequency response, whether they're all in one cabinet or multiples. Mostly due to differences in ground coupling. The stack sounds subjectively clearer and tighter to me. Also being able to stack vertically gets speakers closer to your ears so you can hear yourself better. And you can point them in different directions if you need to. Or get a 2nd amp and play in stereo. Another good thing about two cabinets is that you have the option of using only one of them for practice or a gig in a smaller room. Members shaun126
I was so excited about this 2x10 cab I went to try today. Lopo cab, really well made, 2 eminence ramrods in it Sounded pretty good clean, just not nearly enough low end (especially with fuzz) I was a sad panda.
