Members silvershot Posted March 2, 2014 Members Share Posted March 2, 2014 I sure this has been asked before so...sorry.I have a Blackheart Little Giant amp and there are 5 jacks on the back 16 Ohms - 8 Ohms - 8 Ohms - 4 Ohms - 4 Ohms.I have two Cabinets 1 10' and 1 12" I have the two cabs connected and then a speaker wire to a single 8 Ohm jack.Is this the best way to hook tthis up for optimin performance? Members WRGKMC Posted March 3, 2014 Members Share Posted March 3, 2014 Speakers are usually 8 ohms and amp jacks usually connects them in parallel. When like speakers are connected in parallel, the impedance is cut in hald. When connespeakers areTwo 8 ohm speakers in parallel = 4 ohms. If you're using the 8 ohm jack with two 8 ohm speakers you are using the wrong jacks and can damage the head. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
