Members khastra_ksc
Well? As far as NOS goes, what is your favorite 12ax7 tube?

Members khastra_ksc
I been lookin round the Ebay. Saw a handful of Mullard {censored}. Heard of them before somewhere.Where else can I look online? Any specific place thats great to get info on this besides Google?
Members killertone
Depnds what you are into. 60's Mullards are the best all-around IMO. RFT for hi gain. I like JAN Phillips 12AX7A's for medium gain and excellent tonal balance. Sylvania's are also very good for this. They were sometimes made in the same factories (along with RCA) here in the US. I couldn't agree more. I love the non JJ nos tesla & RFT, I would make sure your Ebay seller has a good reb before getting tubes there.
Members paulintheuk
Mullards are the best I've ever used.
Members Hawkeye17
I've tried Mullards, Telefunken, RCA, RFT, and most of the current regular production tubes and I like the NOS Tesla 12ax7's the best for hard rock tones/amps. Telefunkens are great in Fenders and other 'clean' amps. Everyone's ears are different though
