Members artvandalay
I would like to learn to sing, I don't think I am "tone deaf" but I also think my attempts to sing are not very good. Any advice would be greatly appreciatedAlso, when singing should I be "aiming" for the root note of every chord? http://soundcloud.com/user11326779/ EDIT: Sorry, I missed the 'PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING" thread, but any feedback would be appreciated
Members ido1957
I'd record the guitar separately then you an focus on your singing more.
Members artvandalay
The guitar was under the table & mic was on top, I thought about re-recording it. So I will try record it again w/out the playing guitar when I get a chance. (Although just singing w/out a guitar in my hands feels very awkward)As far as practice, I bought a DVD from Ken Tamplin (spelling may be wrong). It had several exercises that I tried & I am not sure if they helped. What is the best way to practice, using the exercises like those on the Tamplin DVD or singing along w/ songs? On the DVD he went through chest voice & head voice (sorry if these arent the correct terms), it doesnt feel like I am using my head voice but it sounds very "nasally". Am I doing something wrong or is this just my natural voice?smileysad:
