Members NoSurrender
I was wondering if the channel-intrument pattern influences the cross talk. For instance, I'll have a vocals on channels 1,2,3 then guitar on 4,5 then keys on 6, bass on 7, sax on 8, and drums on 9-12. Then I move intruments from one channel to another... What's the impact of changing physical allocation of instruments through the channel? Will it to produce clearer sound and limit cross-talk? Members agedhorse
Crosstalk on modern PA console is so small that it's virtually inaudible under normal operating conditions regardless of any channel assignments. It's not like analog tape.

My band did an out of town gig a few weeks ago and we got stuck using the house PA even though I offered to bring my PA in

Members agedhorse
I haven't experienced that. Then again, I don't mix on one either. I am surprised it would be so bad though, generally I don't hear complaints like that. Interesting.
