The USB ports very handy, I plugged it to my laptop, and it was recognized immediately, I recorded some stereo tracks. I'm not an expert, and the MixWiz2 was 2 years ago the last time I used before I sold it, so I don't remember well enough to compare it. Unfortunately I did not have enough time to use it and learn everything. I'm trying to find out how to assigned effects to different channel's etc.. I guess is time to read the manual. The USB is very handy,I can record sermons and stuff, but I did not buy this mixer for recording, I bought it for live gigs, I used it yesterday, not enough time to try all teh features and understand everything, but so far I like it,I still got a lot to learn. Like you said, ViLo, it will take some time to learn the FX section, but the factory effects did a nice job for me.I bought it used with firmware 1.09, but easily upgraded it to the current 1.20 version.I couldn't be happier.
