Members belayslave Posted February 15, 2007 Members Share Posted February 15, 2007 Hi guys, This is probably (well definitely) a very simple question but i get confused easily I have an amp with 100W per side @ 8ohms. I want to know what kind power i should be looking for in speakers? and also, could i parallel smaller speakers off each side instead of two bigger cabs. i.e. tap 3 speakers in at 30W on each side of the amp? (This is if they don't choose to go with a totally distributed 70V system). Amp is the built in amp on the Tascam AV-452Specs say : Load impedance - 8 ohms, Rated output power - 80w+80w (1kHz, 1%, 8ohm), Max output power - 100w + 100w (EIA, JAITA) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members BillESC Posted February 15, 2007 Members Share Posted February 15, 2007 You could parallel two 8 ohm speakers per side, however you'd want them to be around the 50w area speakers.
