Members robertlee79
I'm running my vocals into a Peavey Unity 1002-8RQ Mixer. The outputs are connected to 2 Peavey 115 BX BW cabinets. Each cabinet maxes out at either 500 or 700 watts. I use these to play out. Right now I am using an old bass head to push them and it doesn't sound as good as it could with a different power source. What's a good power amp to push these speakers for vocals? The less expensive the better.
Members ned911
PV2600 would put 550 watts a side at 8 ohms into each cab.
CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted March 22, 2007 CMS Author Share Posted March 22, 2007 QSC's RMX2450 would be a good fit, and runs about $600, though I've found them as low as $450. QSC has a 6 year warranty, and best of all, it seems rare to have to use it. QSC, Peavey, Yamaha, Crest, all offer good solid amps in this power range, and good used models can usually be found too.
