Members jgthatsme
My trusty little Yamaha MG124CX mixer took a little tumble from a height of about 4 feet yesterday during load in. It was in a padded Gator case but that apparently wasn't enough to prevent damage. Channels 1 and 2 are messed up. Channel 1 sounds very thin and the volume w/ the slider almost all the way up isn't as loud as the remaining working channels with the slider about 10% of the way up. Channel 2 sounds okay, but it cuts in and out and the volume problem is similar to the problem w/ Channel 1. The rest of the channels seem okay. A new one is about $260 so I'm not sure it's worth fixing. The repair shop I use is an authorized Yamaha service center. It'll cost about $40 for the diagnosis and then whatever parts it may need and some extra for labor if it's more than an hour. Anyone have one of these go bad? Worth fixing or just get something else?

Members Bugzie
Agreed! Anything less than $300 is my mark. Chances are that if there is a new series of the same unit they improved something anyway. Or should I say found a cheaper way to do it better. Members stunningbabe
it's wise to have it inside a flight case next time.
