  • screw on horn driver smaller than normal? what to do

i have a pair of foster screw on horn drivers, very small and very good sounding, that i want to use with some no name high efficiency eight drivers to make tiny little cabinets for spoken word and quiet reenforcement. i remember taking them off the horns they came on, and there was tape around the threads to make them big enough to fit what i think was a standard a 3/8 screw down place on the back of the horn. is there a smaller standard i'm not aware of? and if so, where do i get a horn to fit it?

There are some proprietary sizes in use but they are not intended for use with standard products. There are no adapter available that I am aware of.
