Members owenmatt
I have some larger outside gigs lined up this summer and thinking of renting some extra speakers and amps to add to my pa system i currently own. My current system is 4 speaker cabinets and 2 amplifiers. 2 cabs have dual 15" speakers and 1 amp runs those. Other 2 cabs have dual 18" subs and the other amp runs those. I run from the mixer into a peavey kosmos processor which also has a built in crossover that I use then to each amp then speakers. If i added 2 more amps and 4 more speakers what is the best way to hook all of that up? I have heard y cables cos signal loss.

Members dboomer
Y -cords don't cause any appreciable losses until you've split the signal more than half a dozen or more times.
Members owenmatt
Sounds good. I will consider just using y cables unless theres anything else I should know. Amps and speakers are: A Peavey CS 2000 amp driving 2 double speaker EV eliminator II 15" cabs with horns in stereo & a QSC PLX3002 3000 watt amp driving 2 double speaker 18" peavey BWX SC 18-8 NEO subs.
