Members DcSoundOp
A first stop motion tear down video, looking at the Audio Technica AT841a Boundary Microphone and it's power module companion. Why is the power module important, and what do we see so many mics like this being sold used w/o the power module?
Members Shaster
Background music and stop motion, cool... I used to run the AudioTechnica atm87r for some theatre applications. IIRC I put a few in schools. Also IIRC they were self contained. The 87r's were similar to the Shure sm91(?) boundary mic which with the beta52 was a common combo for kick. - at least around my parts. I imagine people would lose the power module of the mic above,.especially in a church or school setting
Members DcSoundOp
Glad you liked it... I'm not sure if everyone likes or hates background music in these types of videos, it drives me crazy sometimes. It is interesting to think of how so many of these are for sale on the used market without the power module... I imagine some folks did lose the module, perhaps some folks just didn't think it was important. Who knows.
