Members ahermon
We have a Lexicon MX200 on the way. We will be using it for some reverb on vocals. We are a rock band that plays small clubs and theaters. Looking for any advice for what some good presets would be from people familiar with the unit. thanks
Members agedhorse
Less is more, use the least you can use to get the effect you need and no more. Be sure that you understand the return routing and that you will return a 100% wet signal to mix back in with the return signal path.
Members monthlymixcd
We use an MX200 and we were using it as two separate FX sends returning on two separate channels... found that we really only ever used the one channel for reverb and now I run the two engines in series within the unit and switch from verb to delay when needed (almost never) and that freed up an aux send on our board and we used it to send another separate monitor mix onstage. The MX200 is a great unit for the money though... like all of the factory reverbs patches and it's simple to edit to taste.
Members Pro Sound Guy
An effects unit is not the magic fix for a sound system.Get the system sounding great first and then insert a bit of reverb.I have seen it so much over the years of tons of reverb or digital delay througha system that sounds like crap.A truely accurate sound system tuned right and with a great band and mixcan sound so good you would never miss an effect.
