Members McHale
I'm looking for a mini key controller (M-Audio Keystation Mini 32, Samson Graphite M32, Korg MicroKey 37) but I need a real DIN MIDI port on it. I'm wondering if any of the ones on the market have the solder points on the main board for MIDI that just isn't used. If any of you have one and wouldn't mind opening to take a look, I'd be VERY appreciative. Thanks! -Mike
Members AnotherScott
I'd be surprised if that were the case. How about an Alesis Q25 or Q49?
Members McHale
I *NEED* the mini keys for the space savings for a couple different things I'm going to do with my band. Korg has been known to put MIDI solder points in some of their smaller products for hobbyists (sadly, the Korg MicroKey 37 isn't one of them... confirmed). I've also found some system boards are used in multiple products so I'm hoping ONE of the mini key products will have one. I will say after having torn apart the Alesis Q49 the keybed is pretty decent. MUCH better than the Samson Carbon 49 or Alesis Vortex (both have the same keybed which is pretty cheap).
