Members WRGKMC Posted August 24, 2011 Members Share Posted August 24, 2011 A weak spot on SG's is the neck joint. I think Gibson uses bone glue for a solid joint.Its really nasty stuff to work with and smells horrible when you coo kit up. I'd use epoxy over wood glue myself. It resists moisture penitration that can weaken wood glue over time. Its also stronger, can take an impact better and doesnt shrink. The finish can look bad over glue joints if it shrinks.
