Members LeonardScaper
Blasted out a quick bleak xmas song That's all I have this month https://soundcloud.com/stickboy/christmas-in-the-black-hole This song is really quite intense, my friend......in a very good way. It is an emotional counterpoint to all of the other feel good holiday songs that we are starting to hear....again. Maybe I am drawn to it because of my own somewhat antithetical holiday frame of mind. You sound fabulous as well.....great production. I am sending this song to Grace for a listen. Members blue2blue
Let's see some new material....... http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13492508 Dreamy, thoughtful, enigmatic. You have such a clear, consistent vision of where you want your music to go. That unique identity seems stamped on every track.
Members blue2blue
Great Lenny! Blasted out a quick bleak xmas song That's all I have this month https://soundcloud.com/stickboy/christmas-in-the-black-hole Really nice build. When the sleigh bells show up, it's distant enough to almost feel like it's coming from the street. When the drums and other instruments come in, it doesn't feel like a typical go-big at all -- it feels organic and natural, emotionally justified... not a crass manipulation. Really quite nice. PS... segue into more sleighbells... your very different track, "That Time of the Year," came on. I'll admit the former song fit my typical Christmas spirit -- but having once fallen in love just before Christmas (and our first kiss was under a front yard Christmas display just down the street from where I live now -- but it was 45 years ago [God, I'm old!]... I was really quite charmed. The big ending is a lot of fun. You did a good job of keeping things blended enough that I didn't find myself playing the 'which instrument is real' game we knob-tweakers all too often play with each others' music. Happy to say I accepted it all willingly as just music. Happy holidays, guys!
Members stickboymusic
Ha thanks good sir. Actually "that time of the year" is one of my only songs that is pretty much not real instruments. I seem to remember only the bass being real. I think it's one of my only song that has no guitar on it at all (I could be wrong) Good Xmas to all too.
Members Delmont
One of my bands has just started fooling around with recording. So far, we have in the can three songs I wrote: http://www.thefullertons.net/recordi...ned-music.html Yeah, I know. Rome wasn't built in a day! We're learning a lot about recording, anyway. I'll post it in the recording forum, too.
