Members iDrum4ever
Bought this kit back in August and had a few problems that are now resolved.http://acapella.harmony-central.com/...eystone-seriesJohn at DrumWorld in Pittsburg was great. The Ludwig factory had to place a shop order to build a new hoop andhad enough scraps of the wrap left over since the wrap is now discontinued. These drums are awesome. They have that full bodied open sound with quick decay.Evens G2 tops and G1 bottoms out of the box with Ludwig logos. The glass glitter finish is very impressive. The lugs, rims, and HWare top quality. This is the Big Beat kit. 9x12, 10x13, 16x16, 18x22.I've never liked the 12/13 combo, but this is working out nice. Here's a new shot. I have the old 60s rewrapped Mod Orange set upin the other corner. What a combo to choose from.

Members FitchFY
Holy crow, I've played on that same kit! Well, same make and model... the singer of a band I subbed with has it. I think that's the exact same wrap... am I understanding that the wrap on the kit now you have is refinished from the original?

FitchFY - Nah this Psych Red kit is brand spanky new. I was talking about the old 60s rewrap I did in Mod Orange a few years ago. (Not to be confused with the original 60s Mod Orange kit.) Was that kit you played a new Keystone kit? They just came out a year or two ago.

The kit I played on is definitely an old Ludwig - I just got caught up in how much they look alike.
