Members boytbpc
I've been playing guitar for a while, but I've been subbing as a bass player off and on for friends for a few years. I've finally decided to quit being a bum and buy my own bass. I'm looking at trading a used Gretsch G5125 for a bass, somebody offered my a 1989 Fender Power Jazz Bass Special. Anybody know about these? Are they the cats ass or what? CheersBoytbpc
Members guitargod0dmw
They are the active version of the Jazz Bass Special. Duff McKagan made the JBS famous, and his signature bass is based off of it. They are nice if you like that sort of tone (I do). Are you looking to trade straight up? What is the Gretsch worth? Members boytbpc
The Grestch is worth around 500. Not really sure any more. I"m looking for a versatile bass right now because I float around between scenes.
Members Rezrover
Those basses usually go for about $350-$450. I got two of the non power versions. Love the necks on them.
