Members ddeerreekk
This isn't really a problem, just more of question out of curiosity. At our myspace we have it set to automatically play our first (and only) song. Now we have 1400 or so pageviews, but the song has only been played 350 times. Seems to me logically the song should have just as many plays or more as the views. Does a song only count as being played if you click on it to play it again? Thanks -Derek www.myspace.com/audioparkband
Members guitarjac
Some ppl have it set so it doesn't play when they view your page. That would account for the diff.jack
Members jrm27
Also, I beleive it only counts as a play if it gets through a certian percentage of the song... as least that is what Myspace admins told me a long long time ago. They also conveyed that each unique ISP address can only count for one play per song a day. So, i fa person and there five friends were to sit there all day and play a certian song over and over, it woudl only count as one play per person. I don't know if this has changed, but that is what I was told.

Members DanielQ
I believe jrm is right. If they listen to 5 seconds it won't count for a whole song playing.
Members rennyn
Yep, it has to be a decent chunk of the song, not sure what the cutoff is. Also some people have it set so the songs never play unless clicked (There's way too many annoying pages out there with annoying songs, so the good ones suffer ). Members zuzz
And don't forget sometimes the myspace player has a glitch and won't load or stream a song and that would account for hits being higher than plays.
