The first thing I would do is take the time to spell things properly.

No that wasn't meant to be a "sarcastic asshole" remark - you need to start into the habit of acting professional about your band all the time. The more professional you treat things, the better your chances of people taking you seriously.

Also, drop the idea that getting laid is the most important thing going on. If your focus isn't on your band and your music, don't even bother considering a career in music.

The next thing I would do would be to invest in a small scale recording setup to record all your rehearsals and songwriting sessions. You want to record them so you can hear how your song ideas sound on tape, and so you don't forget how to play any cool ideas you come up with. You don't need anything fancy - a cassette 4 track is fine at this stage, and even a crappy boom box with a built in mic will work if you take the time to set it up in the right spot of your room.

Thirdly, I would practice those songs over and over until you could do them in your sleep as a band, and try your hand at playing gigs. Start small - basement parties, backyard BBQs, anywhere - just play in front of people. Bands will make it on being able to play live and entertain a crowd.

Once you guys have your songs down cold and are playing shows, save up some cash and try to find an affordable demo studio to record a few of your tunes. Once you have a semi-professional recording of your best songs, dub as many copies as you can, and give them to anyone who will take a copy. Yes it costs money, but the exposure could lead you to more gigs, which is what you want.

From there, work hard on writing better songs (every band's first songs usually aren't all that great) and getting gigs. Save up your money and record another batch of songs. This one you can start selling - just don't expect to make a huge amount of money. Keep working at it and you should devellop a following after a while. From there, gigging and word of mouth should bring more people to come see you.

There's a lot of work involved, so again, if you aren't dedicated, don't bother.
