sometimes mangers find you, sometimes you find them. the same with pretty much anything. if you're starting out (which im assuming you are) you probably won't get anyone very reputable. someone with contacts and who is relatively new can also be good since they will work their ass off for their clients. and usually they will only have 1-3 bands when starting out (depending on how long they do it for). you can try for more reputable managers, but sometimes they might try to give you a {censored}ty deal because they have the power and you don't. any normal management contract will only be for a year at first and if certain goals haven't been met the artist is free to leave. spend $15 on one of the many music business books and read it 2 or 3 times. it wil be worth it. the only thing better is law school.
