Members XorAxAx
Same guy as the auction a couple of months ago. He's relisted his Wave, again with the $6000 starting bid. I know I've seen that auction picture before on a forum somewhere. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200008476675 Meh. I say he doesn't understand how eBay works. Low starting bid, use a reserve to establish the comfort zone. There's also two Q keyboards and a Pulse+ up at the moment. It's a good time for Waldorf lovers on eBay. Members stikygum
Cool, but even for 3500, I don't think I'd still consider it if I had money to blow. This will probaby go to a high end studio if it sells. I'm content with my MW1 With 5 feedback marks that's streching it too.
Members Qwave
he is asking for too much money. But he appears to be a real victim of the Waldorfian GAS if judged by the picture.
Members XorAxAx
I am not sure the picture is of the actual item. I really think I have seen that exact picture on a forum before. 'Course, that doesn't mean the seller can't be the guy that posted said picture on the forum. I agree, it's too much money to ask. But man, the Wave has to be one of the coolest-looking keyboards of all time.
Members mytee2.0
how does the wave compare to the microwave1/2 and XT?
Members BillyWa
At first I thought it was my picture, but then I remembered I dont have a wave.
Members Henway_piano
I'd think he post a more recent, better res picture if he really had the item for sale.

The WAVE does sound different although using the very same oscillators. The filter is smoother. And due to the way better HiFi built audio path it does sound cleaner. The XT got way more digital artifacts then the MW I.But the XT got more modulation possibilities then the MW I and the WAVE. A normal 16 voice model is usually sold for something like 4k US $ in Europe.A 32 voice model is to rare to name a price tag. But 50% extra would be fair.I don't think the new Waldorf will service old synths. And remember some parts are not available anymore. And most of the old stock of Waldorf parts just got in the bin when Waldorf went down.I yet had no contact with the new Waldorf. The are not like the old one yet. Members pizzamon
I like you, but you {censored}ed me. I was gonna get that XTK. Now it's gone.
Members XorAxAx
You talking to me? I still have my XTk for sale. I'm just about to decide not to include it in my sell-off, however, because I keep playing it and enjoying the sounds I can make with it. But it's certainly not gone. Members pizzamon
The XTK's are keepers man. I would make it one of your keep boards. Unless you find one in better shape. Like that outstanding one on ebay a minute ago. I bet someone from the forum got it. I'm having difficulties justifying keeping both my access and a waldorf. I know they sound different, but do I really need more than one VA? I need money for school and crap right now. I was gonna get that xtk, sell both my current boards, and get an MEK to hold me off for a while. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do now. XTK's in good shape don't come around often. That one you got is nice (10 voice), but it needs to go to someone who can give it some TLC.
Members XorAxAx
Doesn't need much. It's just a missing endcap on the reso knob and some keys that may be 0.1mm out of vertical alignment. Works fine for me. I've already had the keep-it-or-sell-it thread (several, IIRC), so my only thought process is can I afford to keep it. Previously, the answer was "no", but I may be able to swing it anyway. Members Umbra
he is asking for too much money. Probably. I think at this point in the game the wave has more value to a collector than to someone who would actually use it to make pro level music. Members pizzamon
I've seen those things go for (us) 8500. Have you ever tried to find one, they are more scarce than an sms 2000.
