Members Nich
Hi, I just tracked down a musician I really like and he told me he did a lot of his music on this synth. I read that it's no longer made. Any suggestions for a similar product from anyone familiar with it and what it offers?
Members sevensinner
There's the MC-505 which was in the groovebox form factor - pretty similar otherwise to the JX-305 minus the keyboard.

Members Sealed
JX-305 is an upper version of MC-505, MC-307 and D2. MC-505, MC-307 and D2 shares basically the same sound engine, and their PCM ROM sounds are mainly derived from SR-JV Techno board. JX-305 has more PCM ROM waveforms, mainly derived from JV series. If you like groovebox, you may go for MC-505. If you want a sound module close to JX-305, you can use a JV-1080 with SR-JV Techno board.
