the best explanation ever given of czerka industries was that on the website... i pretty much quote the about page whenever i explain czerka...

one of our members teaches a library class on the internet to older people and people new to the internet of which he uses the czerka homepage as an example of deception...

Audio Drivers?

DIrect X?

Mac user here so I don't think I can help you but I really think your WAY off in you questions.

Just get the most up to date USB driver from Roland and adjust latency in your DAW.

part of the features of the sh201 is that it can be used as a sound card, i am actually looking to use this feature extensivly instead of my current live setup... my laptop is a respectable amd chipset w/1gb of ram and has been capable of using lots of different audio cards however instead of taking the dive and selling my saffire and axiom to get the sh201 i just kind of would like to know if the latency is playable(one would assume so but ive learned not to assume when dealing with more than 100$). so that i dont wind up in a hole without a live setup...

have you tried using the new AU drivers for the sh201 then, if so can you give me your opinion?

All the sh201 does is allow audio in and out of it to be transfered to the computer by USB. The Moto 828 Mk II that I have is a hell of a lot more extensive than the SH-201. It's pretty much just an audio interface for its' own convenient purpose.

Switching the setting for the Sh-201 to be used as an audio interface is VERY limiting. The thing only has one set of audio inputs and MIDI IN and MIDI OUT.

I really don't see your point in trying to make a synth do an audio interfaces job. The only advantage to doing so would be if all you had was the SH-201 and perhaps a laptop with softsynths and a mic.

I don't know of any latency issues as I don't and wouldn't ever use the synth in that fashion. It has limited capability but it IS NOT a dedicated audio interface. IMHO this a corner that should not be cut.

my main audio interface is a fw1884, i use that for my recording always(or my band mates 828), the saffire i have been using is great for what its worth but i do not need a single input and just about the only thing i use it for is the output of a soft synth and occasionally working on compositions inside of cubase alongside my friends studio... thusly i was hoping to replace my axiom and my saffire and also get a closer representation to my vsynth as my weekly band rehersal/writting is becoming a pain to lug the v synth up and down two flights of stairs (the overlap in this case would be desired to help save the constant 75lb strain of case and keyboard)

so i am really just wondering how well it would work in a laptop/sh201 setup? i read the manual watched all the videos online and checked out every review i could find and didnt see anybody comment on how it was using it as an audio interface, only from the roland videos that it could be used as one...
