Members pizzamon
Man, I just went for some mac and cheese at the corner krogers, and had no idea what I was about to walk in to. You see there is this SOUNDFORCE shop a few blocks from me. I was always curious, but had never stepped in there before. It looks very inconspicuous, but obviously rented sound systems and such. I decided today was the day I would walk in, just to see. I had no idea! Hidden in the back room, away from prying eyes was something they called "SYNTH MOUNTAIN". This guy started pulling out all this vintage gear from clean shelves. I had never seen so much synth in person before. I actually laid hands on A (all MINT you understand) tb303, jd 800, juno 6, prophet 600, A pro one, that had been refurbished by the factory (it was like out of the box man ), an evolver, a korg poly 6 (great condition), jeez, there was like 6 other synths in there I didn't even get a chance to look at. They had outstanding gear in there for sale (cords, fx units, monitors...), hard to find gear - stuff they don't sell anymore (old yami monitors anyone?). I thought I would let you guys know they are out there... www.soundforceinc.com I would highly recommend these guys.

Members Umbra
That's an odd website. It looks like they are located in a mental health facility from the map..... Synth Mountain.... hehe that's cool. Is the stuff for sale or just for rent?
Members justmcg
what are the prices like? Is worth checking out?
Members pizzamon
Well, the synths were marked for sale. But he didn't REALLY want to get rid of any of them. He said he was in "no Hurry". the prices were fare ebay prices for gear in outstanding condition. I think the poly 6 was marked 600. I think he would sell, like I said, they were marked for sale, but The guy would have to be talked to first. i think he is still having fun just having them around, but they were all put on shelves and it didn't look like he played them much. I think he knows he will sell them, but wants them to go to the right owners. Everything else was most definitely for sale.

Members nosamiam
I had a similar experience. I live in a pretty small town (40,000) about 20 miles outside of a pretty large city (St. Louis). Most of my gear needs are met in the city or online. I stay away from downtown small-town because there's really nothing there for me. But one day I was passing through and I noticed in new storefront a vintage Marshall combo and a Fender Bassman half-stack. Being a lover, but can't-afforder, of vintage guitar/bass gear, I parked and went in. DAMN!! The place only had a handful of guitars, basses, and amps, but they were mostly collectible, cherry-mint pieces. Then I saw the counter!!!!! Under the glass were probably 100 (at least it seemed to be 100 or so, I didn't count) effects pedals--almost all boutique or vintage. It's not like there were 20 of everything. There was like 1 or 2 of everything. I was drooling! It made me feel kind of funny so I left without trying anything out. Unfortunately they closed a short while later and I predicted they would. There just isn't that kind of customer base where I live. Sorry to cross-post, but I can relate to Pizzamon at least a little.
Members BonsoWonderDog
I'm glad it's a cool shop, because that's the ugliest website I've seen for a while....I hope they didn't pay someone to do that. Damian
