Members Mook
Did it come with instructions? BTW - if you're having trouble with a 0404 I wouldn't even think about a 48 channel mixer yet!

Members Mook
You don't exactly make it easy - what exactly is the problem. We don't know what host you use, whether the 0404 is operational, do you actually have a mic, are you unsure which connector to plug the mic into, or do you want to know about micing techniques for vocals? Members Yoozer
The 0404 has 2 line inputs. A microphone won't fit in there. A preamplifier would help in this case. However, microphones are mono, so you will only have to record a single input. It depends a bit on your budget and if you want something that colors the vocals. This coloration (and compressing and equalizing) can be done in the device itself or later on. The human voice has a pretty incredible dynamic range, and to make it a bit more predictable, processing like that is handy. http://www.zzounds.com/item--PRSTUBEPRE would be nice, I guess . There's even cheaper stuff by ART and Behringer; all of 'm should do the job.
