Members hammalc
Hi everyone, I just joined this forum as I finally found a place to discuss all brands of keyboards. I tried the Roldan Juno G today and was very impressed but in the same time was very disappointed after trying so hard to find a button or menu function to keep the chords or notes playing while I remove my fingers from the keyboard keys to change chords. In the Korg Triton and Karma series, we had a button called "Latch" which is like a hold button to keep the left part (or main part of the performance/combi running while taking your fingers away and stop pressing the keys). I tried all around to find this feature in the Juno G and couldn't find it. Does it exsist and I'm the one who can't see it clearly or does it simply not exist? If it doesn't exist, I'd find it pretty weird because many of the "perform" and patches have moving synths in it or some drum track, so it doesn't make sense that when I play it and change chords, it stops a split second when I change between chords. Anyone has got any clue about this???? Thanks

Members Prog
A damper pedal.
Members hammalc
I had a problem with the damper as it also sustains the melody I play on the right section of the keyboard, which is not what I want to achieve. I want to hold the drum patterns or motion synths that exist in a patch or a performance (usually the left section of the board). I can't believe there's no hold/latch switch! Members Prog
Most keyboards don't have Hold switches. In a Performance/Combi/whatever, you should be able to assign the damper to any, or all, or no, zones.
Members brzilian
Roland arpeggiators can usually be placed in a hold/latch mode. My XP30 has that capability by pressing the Arpeggio+Transpose keys simultaneously.
Members hammalc
Interesting thought... I'll try this transpose and arpeggio option. I'll also have to use the pedal, which is not too practical on the go But thanks guys for the input... I'll let you know what I do, I'm going to the showroom now to give it another test.
