Members controlvoltage
I have one but it went crazy within about three months. Keeps going to this page in the Master options no matter what I do. I need to get on the phone with Korg and sort it out.
Members grimleyj
Without a doubt my most used piece of gear (see below for a current kit list)and IMO the best Electribe (I've owned them all). I sold my MD-UW because it was gathering dust, but the ESX gets used every day and is where about 70% of my tracks begin life. Just hope they bring out a newer version soon with USB (and of course more filters, mod routings, FX ...). Members JimmyStewart
I always found the Electribe series to be too toy-like.
Members SynthLord
I have the EMX1, but don't use the tube when recording. It "out-3Ds" my other gear. Cool machine, though. My only beef with it is that I only wish there were an easy way to get my EM1 programs onto it. I filled the EM1, and before I could get a second one, the EMX1 came out, and I could never quite get the patterns from the M to the MX. Well, the patterns turned out okay, but getting the synth sounds identical or close enough was tedious and often unsuccessful.
Members skunk3
I kinda like the cheesy sound of the older Electribes, much in the same way I like the sound of the Roland MC303. It's got this stupid sound that isn't useful for much, but for what it shines at, it does extremely well. The newer model Electribes sound awesome. I know a guy here in town that has two EMX-1's and a ESX who does live PA sets. Sounds really phat but I do admit I'm getting bored with it... he needs a new sound source or something because hearing a Korg sound for an hour straight gets a little repetitive. Members lowbasslowbass
Do you usually record/playback from the main outs or the auxiliary outs?
