Members jtr3
is it possible to important patterns in the 880 into say digital performer (4.6) and have it multi-tracked? ie have each instrument on a different track as opposed to the whole pattern on one track. Members Tony Scharf
that's what i thought...i was hoping midi would solve the problem... midi is a control protocol, not an audio one. it only tells the DR880 to MAKE a sound, or can be told by the DR880 which sound it is making. it does not contain the actual sound itself. now, MIDI *can* make this more painless a process. using digital performer, you *could* record the patterns MIDI content, and then use function in DP (Ive never used it, but I imagine it must have this) to split the midi track by note number. you can then mute the tracks you dont want to record, and record the audio bits. This is how I work with my Elektribe and Cubase
