Members lostandfoundpdx
my grandmother is cleaning out some stuff from her house, and shes giving me a bunch of gear, including two keyboards. both are yamaha, one is a CVP-5 clavinova, and the other is a PSR70. does anyone know anything about these two? i know they are mid 80s, but the clav looks promising maybe, who knows? at th very least, i can use it as a midi controller probably... it has weighted keys
Members Meatball Fulton
The CVP-5 came out in 1985. It's an early digital piano, considered pretty high quality in it's day. It has 76 keys, MIDI in and out (velocity but not aftertouch) plus a simple built in sequencer and "auto rhythm" functions. The manual is online here. PSR-70 is the usual 61 key plastic dept. store keyboard but it also has MIDI (no velocity or aftertouch). It has a similar sequencer to the CVP-5. Manual here. For free, what's to complain about.
