Help in FINAL setup

So our band has quite a myriad of synths to tinker around with... but the one thing we are missing is a sampler. The sampler is important for some nuances that can't be recreated via a synth/rompler in a song.... such as songs from Dr. Dre and Kanye West. We are a hip-hop band and I've already gotten a lot of help from you guys as to what we should get. But I've been looking around a lot at MPCs and stuff like the Electribe... and noticed that some workstations include a sampler built in. I've also noticed with the songs we play, I don't really need all these synths (DX7, MicroKorg, Micron, DX11, XP50) as a unit like a Triton, Fantom, and Motif can do whatever I want "live"... I know in the studio it's a different story but for live use trying to be "exact" isn't as necessary. As for a sampler, the sampler need not be that in-depth... as it would be used only to trigger very small samples. The goal is to carry the least amount of stuff with the least amount of connections with the least amount of samples (we wanna try to play everything since we got 5 members).

So I'm looking for the ideal setup so I know what to trim and buy and finally have a FINAL setup. Here are the requirements. (Keep in mind these are for 2 keyboardists... I'll explain the roles)

Roles

Keyboardist #1 (also plays occasional guitar):

-Occasional Vocoder (Think "Earth, Wind and Fire" Let's Groove, and Michael Jackson's PYT)

-Synth sounds (leads, fillers, etc.)

-Talkbox (Think Roger Troutman and Daft Punk)

Keyboardist #2

-Rompler sounds (piano, rhodes, pads, strings, and ambient and/or rhythm synth)

Possible Setups

I've narrowed my choices down to the following.

Keyboardist #1

-MicroKorg or Korg R3 (for synth leads and vocoder)

-Fantom S, Alesis Fusion, Fantom XA, Triton LE w/ sampler exp. (Would replace the need for a DX11 since workstations can do FM sounds just fine, and also include the need for a sampler to trigger samples)

Keyboardist #2

-XP50 (w/ the respective cards)

-Alesis Micron for extended real estate and/or more "analog" sounding parts

The decision making lies in the workstation with the sampler. I know the Fantoms have trigger pads, which might make playing samples easier, but you can assign samples to keys on the Triton and the Fusion as well. I'd like to spend less than 1000 on a workstation w/ a sampler... but I'd also like to know if this is all moot and just buy an MPC or something like a KP3 or Electribe.
