Members Gribs
My FireworX arrived from NovaMusik today, and it is now in my rack and hooked to the sends and returns on my mixer. I have been playing with the factory presets and my P'08 for that last hour or so. This is a really cool effects box. It should keep me busy for a long time. Too bad I have to stain some windows this weekend :| Its funny, I noticed the TC Electronics effects processors disappeared from Nova's web page, so I sent an email asking about it. It turned out that they got accidentally removed during an update. I called for a quote and it turned out they had a mint used one with the box and manual. It only takes a day to get here from Milwaukee, even on the slow land route. Happy Friday!

Members whitepapagold
I have yet to try one but keep considering giving it a go. Sadly, the interface is typical TC- TINY! Still bet its fun as hell! I was also never quite sure how much I would use it after the thrill wore off- plug ins being so retarded easy. Does TC make a plug in version? Let us know what you think a month from now as well!
Members carbon111
Congrats! Great FX processor! Completely modular routing. If what you need isn't there, you can literally "build it" and save it as a preset. There's even a full-fledged monosynth as a preset! I used the Harmonic Resonator to spice up a lead synth line recently* - pure magic! The Fireworx is easily my favorite outboard FX box. * http://www.carbon111.com/music/dead_leaves.mp3
Members ChristianRock
Hmmm maybe I should look into getting one.Regarding the quality of the effects itself, especially delays and reverb, how do you guys rate it?
Members Khazul
Still prefer the reverb in the fireworx over any plugins I have. There is one slight downer that I think aeon brought up ages ago that is it doesnt really add width to your sound, so I often end up routing it through my SPL MK2-T vitalizer. The otehr hardware reverb I use alot if a TC M-One XL - reverb in that isnt quite as good, howvere I tend to use it alot to conserve DSP on the fireworx. On the delay side, well I tend to use a TC -D-Two which is simply one of the most useful reasonably priced delay units around - you can actually tap out delay patterns on it and it supports swing in the delay timing - hence why its called a rhythmic delay. Where the fireworx really comes into it own in reverbs and delays is what happens when you combine with other fx, especially if you start contructing wierd feedback loops and using the digital insert link etc. Or just for basic effect reverb use - add in a subtle delay and chorus/flange to get you a little away from the common reverb sound. You can make ducking delays and reverbs quite easily as well.
Members ChristianRock
I just saw the price for that. I don't think I'll get one anytime soon... my REV500 and my Digitech TSR24s will have to do for now...
