Members funk5
Just curious if it is possible to mod a juno 60 to have portamento. I know it even says in the manual something like: "portamento is not possible because of the DCO" Well they definitely have portamento in other DCO synths. Is this possible, or has it ever been done to a 60? Also curious if anyone can tell about other mods to the juno 60 they did/had done. Thanks. Members augerinn
Only mod that I'm aware of is MIDI retro-fit. Also, Synthwood is working on a complete shelf/end-cap kit.

Members kpatz
As you know, there's nothing preventing a DCO from doing portamento (as the 106 and JX series synths have it), except maybe the amount of CPU power available in a 60 was too limited to allow for a smooth glide. That or the resolution of the digital timebase used to clock the DCOs. But if it can do a smooth pitch bend, it should be able to do portamento as well. Maybe someone could hack together a new Juno EPROM with portamento.

Members Diametro
The portamento is GREAT on the 106 ... Better than an arpeggiator, IMO, as you can always drive the Juno with an external one that's probably better anyway ...
