Members grace_slick
I've never sung this song before but have always liked it. So here it is (just the first verse and chorus, which was awkwardly high) www.soundclick.com/fleeceburgervocals
Members DeadNight Warrior
That's you finding something awkward to sing?
Members grace_slick
lol, what? I didn't realise it'd be awkward till the chorus when I was thinking, a split second before doing it, OH {censored}! WHAT THE!?
Members DeadNight Warrior
I've done similar things when I've come up with an idea for something, then hit record and realised the actual tempo of the song is a crapload faster than what I recalled it to be. Instant, "Holy crap, I can't play that! :freak:" moment. The difference is, you still pulled it off. You don't even try it out first, you just hit record and BAM, magic. You're almost just taking the piss now.
Members grace_slick
NOOO! Never, I'm not taking the piss! When I do, you know about it, believe me, lol. You know what I actually do, when I record these clip things for fun, is record the karaoke / instrumental Youtube track first, holding the mic up to the speakers. While I'm doing that, I'm kinda going through it a bit in my head...mouthing the words sometimes...that sorta thing. Sorting out any things I'm unsure of before actually singing. Then when that's done, I record myself. And if it's crap, I can listen back and learn and then do it again. Sometimes if I'm short on time or if I think it's ok as is, I leave it and post it, like this one. I was distracted by my naughty cat "children" while the instrumental of this song was recording so didn't notice the highness of the chorus till I came to sing it. I was like, "How am I gonna sing this?? Try probably unsuccessfully to belt it out? Go all wispy and breathy? RUNNING OUT OF TIME!!" so I just did somewhere in between. lol
