Members Gaul
Spot the difference and tell me, why there is one? Which version is newer (if that's the clue) and better (if that is a matter of quality)?
Members poumtschak
The actual product is the second one, no doubt. http://www.emu.com/products/product.asp?category=532&subcategory=533&product=13558 Looks like to me the first picture is a pre(ss)-release prototype or even an artist's view done for PR purposes when the product wasn't even manufactured yet. Look at dv247, they have these same odd pictures for the 25 and 49 keys :
Members uvacom-rotatt
do a google image search for e-mu xboard. Every actual picture of one in a studio looks like the first one.

Members MarcinP78
LOL, at first I thought it was a joke on the build quality. In the top picture, the buttons look worn out while the bottom pic shows brand new buttons. I like the knobs of the first one better, though.
