Members bofl Posted November 27, 2009 Members Share Posted November 27, 2009 hello.i had a win xp crash.had to reinstall everything....... i got cubase etc working after a lot of grief but mow i cant get emulator x2 to open for my sounds! i have moved home twice since i bought it so i am wondering if i have lost a disc? this is because the emulator icon has disappeared! i have six discs.were there seven or am i not installing it correctly?thnx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members Yoozer Posted November 27, 2009 Members Share Posted November 27, 2009 You need to install both PatchMixDSP (this is the E-mu icon in the bottom right of the screen) -and- the regular driver. http://www.emu.com/support/files/download2.asp?Centric=761&Platform=1 has what you need. As for Emulator X2, that's something completely different; it probably needs to know where the samples are locaed on the disk. A preset in a sampler consists of a bunch of settings telling which sample goes where and a bunch of samples (the actual sounds). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members bofl Posted December 16, 2009 Author Members Share Posted December 16, 2009 thanks yoozer.i got it working but it keeps crashing........ anyway.i sent this to emu.they are usually not too helpful though........ something is wrong with my emu x2.....i have used it for 2 years+ wjithout any problems....i use cubase as host.when opening cubase it gets to emulator then gets stuck..the screen flashes once and then i cant get into my song.i have un/re-installed which has eventually cleared the problem.this has happened 3 times now! i uninstalled emu and ran cubase.it opens fine every time.........so i guess it is something to do with emu software? also the emu asio will not work properly.i have had to use asio4all to get it to work.on top of that the t-racks vst which came with emu x will not work either! can u help me please? Members Yoozer Posted December 16, 2009 Members Share Posted December 16, 2009 I don't have X2, and I didn't get any extras with my 1212m since I bought it shortly after it was released. I think they ramped up the amount of goodies after that. You're still using XP? Deinstall the 1212m completely and reinstall it again, this time in the correct order. Focus on one thing at a time.
