One thing that I try to stay away from lyrically is the use of certain conjunctive words like "don't" or "couldn't" unless I can't get around them. In the lyric "...but I couldn't see his face..." I would use "could not". In the song the word "couldn't" trails off as would any use of an "n't" conjunctive. The word "not" comes out much more definitively and punchy. One thing I did not quite get was the lead guitarists' finger drag rap-sounding effect on the strings. Was that intended? Just my 2-cents. I liked it alot otherwise. Good stuff. Good luck.
